Cannabis testing plays a critical role in product safety, regulatory compliance, and market transparency. This FAQ section answers common questions about our laboratory methods, testing panels, sample submission process, and reporting standards. We’ve compiled this information to help cannabis operators better understand the testing process and ensure their products meet state and industry requirements.

When will I get my results?

Legally most test results must be provided within 10 days of receiving a sample. Microbial test results must be provided in 5 days. Additionally because of the nature of the test stability takes at least 6 months for final results with the option to extend it.

How will I get my results?

Your results will be reported to you as soon as they are available via our state-of-the-art Laboratory Integrated Management System. Simply login to your account to view results or the status of current tests. Billing will also be managed through this system.

How do I know what tests I need to do?

If you are unsure what tests your product needs please refer to the flowchart on the Submission Guidelines page. Additionally, once registered into the Analytica Integrated Management System our standard test packages will assure a product receives every test it needs to in order to make it to market.

What happens when a sample fails?

Within seven days of being notified of the failure, you may request a reanalysis of the original sample. If the reanalysis also fails, the batch must be held for remediation or destruction. If it passes, a second independent laboratory must retest a new sample to confirm the result. If this also fails, the batch must be held for remediation or destruction. If it passes, the batch is cleared for release.

Please note:

  • A sample may only be reanalyzed once, and a batch may only be retested once
  • The batch must remain in its original quantity throughout this process — it cannot be subdivided or blended with other batches
  • The Certificate of Analysis must clearly indicate whether results are from a reanalysis or retest
